10th until 26th of Aug 2026 Wed 26 Aug 2026, 7:11:51 pm CET It has certainly been a while since the last post, but I have been busy planning and enjoying the Sweden trip we did between 15th and 23rd of August. It was a true roadtrip with the car like we did in the past. About 10 years ago to be exact. Has it been that long? We also had a surprise visit to the High Chaparral amusement park, which turned out to be better than expected. It was absolutely great to see the amusement park again after so many years and how it developed and changed over the years. We - as a family - visited my parents while staying in Mellanfjärden. The arrangements were perfect, and we had a great time with my parents. We also had the opportunity to meet up with my older brother J. and his family, which was great. Unfortunately we did not have the time to see my younger brother N. this time, but we made sure we to leave a gift for him and his family. Apart from visiting family, we also had a few hours to meet up with some dear friends, which was great. We met up at G. and S.'s place in Sollentuna together with our dear friend E. Fantastic few hours with great food, drinks and conversations. Then it was off to Nynäshamn archipelago for family relax time. We had the feeling of being there too short, but we had a great time there as well. What a wonderful place with spectacular nature! Our last place - also an Airbnb - was in the area of High Chaparral amusement park. We lived just 4 KM in a really nice little house with all the amenities we needed. The house was really nice in a picturesque area with a lot of nature around. The day in the park, like stated earlier, was a great experience on many levels. The last drive back to Belgium - 1300 km - was a long one, but it was done without any issues. It was great to sleep in our own beds again after a long trip. The car - a Polestar 4 - performed really well, and we had no issues with the car at all. It was a great trip, and I am looking forward to the next one. It was a great trip, and I am looking forward to the next one. I will try to post some pictures from the trip in a near future post, but I have to sort through the pictures first. Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day.
