A Week of Heat and Pride

19th until 25th of Jun 2026

Thu 25 Jun 2026, 6:00:55 pm CET It is really amazing how hot the weather has been here the last week, and it will continue until at least after this weekend. It has not been below 32 degrees Celsius, and tomorrow it will be the peak of the heatwave with 38 degrees Celsius. It is really difficult to get a nice sleep at night.

What else can I say about the past week? Well, the biggest and most important thing that happened was that J.'s final bachelor project was approved and accepted. Then today he also received all his grades and I am extremely proud to let you know that he is completely finished with his bachelor studies and has now received confirmation of passing his degree . But the official ceremony will be in September. Now off to the next step in his life, which is to continue with his master studies. As a father, these are the events in life that means the most. It is huge!

Last Monday there was a masonic event in the evening that I attended, and it was a really nice evening with a lot of interesting people as per usual. Now we are taking a break for a short while - we are on summer break for a little while.

That is all for now, there were a lot of other things that happened, of course. I did some nice 3D printing projects (for my family and even a masonic project involving some 3D printed models) and other small projects around the house.

Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Thu 25 Jun 2026, 6:00:55 pm CET Did you know that today in 1848 is when a photograph of the June Days uprising Read more about it on Wikipedia. becomes the first known instance of photojournalism.
