8th to 18th June 2026 Thu Jun 18 2026, 12:48:53 CET OK, I'm back from my little trip to Sweden and I'm still "recovering". Not so much to recover from jet lag or anything, but more to recover from all the impressions and experiences. Again. I was there in March for the same reason. The time with my parents and my older brother (and family) first and then with my younger brother (and family) in Stockholm. I also met my old and best friends from my youth. We went out to dinner together in Bromma and had a really nice evening. It was just as if no time at all had passed since we last saw each other. I was home after the trip to Sweden on Tuesday evening, then I had traveled by bus, taken the airport bus, the flight, Uber and then my car from Brussels home to Brasschaat. I was home around 8pm. Many stages but everything went incredibly smoothly. None of them took longer than two hours. There is something interesting about this update. For the first time, I write it first in Swedish (with my new keyboard from Keychron, but more about that another time). I have always written it first in English and then translated it into Swedish. I wrote a small Python program that automatically translates my article from Swedish to English but also from English to Swedish. I've tested it a bit and it seems to work perfectly. It is not only the text in the article itself, but also all menus, links, buttons, headings, etc. that are translated. It seems to work perfectly. Tomorrow is Midsummer and we will celebrate it a little with the three of us. It's going to be really cozy, it's the first time in a long time that we're together at all. After the busy time with all the work J. has had with his final project. I can't believe it might be the last thing he does for his bachelor. OK, I'll wrap up here for today. I will try to write some more soon. There is far too much to write about over the time that has passed. Now comes a time here with extreme heat - it will be up to 35 degrees in the coming week. The fans are going full blast here… Did you know that..? I am trying to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day.
