Life, Politics, and Love: A Tale of Forgotten Thoughts

12th until 16th of Jan 2025

Thu Jan 16 2025, 7:00:26 pm CET It's been a couple of days since last time I shared here. Time goes so fast. I have to start reflecting about something before I forget it. That is the thing, a lot of times when I am starting writing here there are so many ideas, but when I come around to actually writing it, I have forgotten half of it. it is just life that comes in between, but most of the cases I see something or read something that gets me on another mental path...

So, what was I thinking about... Oh yes, the peace deal between Hamas and Israel that was made public today. Of course good news, but let's see how it goes. What strikes me is that it seems that it is the most important who struck the deal. It's just a game, the worst game of them all, a political game! Time will tell how real the situation is. I am afraid to trust it at the moment as there are some shady people on the highest level involved in this game...

Aaaanyway... so what is new? Today J. did his last exam for this period. Fantastic! He brought his best friend G. over and they just chilled. As they say. And I am so in "the lingo with da boys". I just love him so much. It was of course also his birthday 2 days ago. That was an extremely intimate and close celebration. Loved the time with the 3 of us in the place called 'Wolf food marke't A fabolous place and I had the best burger ever. I kid you not, the BEST burger EVER! We will certainly come back and try all the other interesting food they serve there. Have a look on the site, it is in a fantastic place close where J lives....

OK, that was it for tonight, I think. I have, like I mentioned before, probably forgotten half of what I planned to write...

Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Today, 16th of Jan 2025, I will also alternate with quotes from philosophers! Thu 16 Jan 2025, 6:41:10 pm CET "It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters."

- Epictetus (55-135 AD)
