6th until 8th of Mar 2026 Sun 8 Mar 2026, 6:48:34 pm CET I am back again, I have been good updating and working on our magical (positive and creative would be fitting adjectives for our haven here) place here lately. It is Sunday evening and it's been a fantastic weekend. Today, if I start there, was a fantastic seasonal start in the garden. We started the work of getting the garden ready for the season. The ground work started poking around in between the plants and cutting back the bushes, hedges and other plants. I also have to start planning for my tobacco plants, I have to plant my own grown seeds. A big step. I am really looking forward to that, and see the seedlings in May when I have to re-plant them in the garden. Yesterday, Saturday, was a brilliant day with a perfect mix of creativity and amusement. I started the day with a productive writing session for my book project, which has been progressing well. Oh yes, something that I have not been writing at all about here. Only my closest friends and family know about it, but I have been working on a book project for a while now. I think that is something that I will write more about here in the future, but it is a project that I am really passionate about and I am really looking forward to sharing it with you all when it is ready. After the writing session, my mother in law showed up 15 minutes too early (an internal joke, it was apparently an misunderstanding) to drive together to Mechelen. We had 45 minutes together in the car thus. To be honest, the time flew by and all of a sudden we parked the car in front of our friends K and K - one of my older friends here in Belgium. We have some history. He is also one of the absolute best friend of my wife H. who - my wife thus - has been there since the morning with her dad to help out in the garden. Together with his partner, they spoiled all of us rotten. We had a fantastic day together, with a lot of good food, good drinks and good company. We were only back after midnight. OK, just to finish this post, I wanted to end with a couple of words about tomorrow. Tomorrow is a big day for me, my new car and also a big masonic event again. I can tell you about the car, not so much about the masonic event, but I am really looking forward to both. Strange to be sitting in a Polestar 4 tomorrow. The configuration is exactly how I want it with all the options and more applied. Later in the evening I will also request a masonic "wage increase".
