New Beginnings: Laptops & Lunchtime

2 of Sep 2024

Mon 2 Sep 2024, 12:37:06 pm CET The first work week in September started with a bang ... well, not really a bang. I just liked the sound of it. It was a rather ordinary beginning of a Monday full with conference calls. It is really noticeable that people are returning from their holidays.

Yesterday, I finally got around it and ordered a new battery to the laptop. I settled for the mid-range, high-capacity battery. I think it will be the best option for now. As a bonus, I discovered a nice deal, only 15 EUR for 1 kg of white PLA+ 3D printing filament. I simply could not let that go... If everything works out according to the plan, it will be delivered tomorrow already. I did not yet decide about which tobacco pipe to buy, still under research - do I go for the trusted Savinelli or do I invest in a new Peterson?

OK, that was that so far, until lunchtime at least. Let's see what the rest of the day will bring...

Mon Sep 2 2024, 9:38:24 pm CET Just another quick update, an evening update before zooming out with our TV-series of the evening. I am just back after hitting a couple of ballsat the driving range with J. and K. It's still a very nice evening with pleasant temperature outside. Happy with a little bit of quality time together before they are off again. First J. is going to the seaside (to Knokke with friends) for 2 days and then he travels directly to K's family in Balen on Thursday. We will see him again next weekend.

Did you know that..? I try to find an interesting historical event that occurred on this day. Mon 2 Sep 2024, 12:37:06 pm CET Did you know that today 1867 is when Mutsuhito Read more about him on Wikipedia., Emperor Meiji of Japan, marries Masako Ichijō, thereafter known as Empress Shōken.
